how we work

  • Our expertise is working with complex individuals. We provide a safe, environment, where trust, dignity and security are at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that many of the men and women we house have lived through trauma, abuse, and disadvantage. We therefore take a trauma and environmentally informed, person centred approach that meets each resident where they are, rather than expecting them to fit into a system. We go beyond crisis management, offering support that addresses emotional wellbeing, physical health, substance use, relationships and skills for independence. By focusing on empowerment and advocacy, we ensure our residents not only have their voices heard but are supported to rebuild confidence and regain control of their lives. Our consistency and reliability are what set us apart. Many of the men and women we work with have been let down before, and we pride ourselves on being a service they can trust. We also foster a sense of community and belonging, helping our residents feel less isolated through peer support, group activities and creative engagement.

Above all, our approach is flexible, compassionate and long term. We aim not to only support some through immediate challenges but to help break cycles of trauma and disadvantage, creating lasting positive change our residents, their families and future generations.
